Sharing your .PST files (continued)

We have also had, on rare occasions, someone report that they could no longer open their Personal Folders. In every case, running the Inbox Repair Tool (ScanPST) fixed the problem.

In summary, if you are running Outlook in the "Enterprise" mode, with mail being kept on an Exchange Server, putting your Personal Folder files on a network share can have significant advantages for the user. Of course, remember that this is unsupported and Microsoft claims dangerous, so you'll need to decide the wisdom of this approach for yourself.
