Managing recipient list limits (continued)

[Here's a tip within a tip: A much better way to accomplish large volume mailing to your friends or customers is by using a mailing list management product like Lyris. We use Lyris here at ZATZ and it is an incredibly robust mailing list server, allowing you to do such things as add and remove subscribers automatically, and much, much more. If you're doing large-scale mailings, definitely give it a look at http://www.lyris.com. -- JD]

Controlling the number of recipients on the server shouldn't replace an acceptable use policy or reduce the need for education about SPAM fundamentals. But it will go a long way towards preventing mail storm problems when someone hits that darn Reply to All button too quickly and without really thinking; something we've all been guilty of, at least once.
